TCIS Students remained evenly divided over whether the school should return to the former 10-day schedule or stick with the current Black and Gold Week rotation, according to the StrawPoll hosted on The Golden Dragon website. With 43 total votes, the Black and Gold Week system received 51.16% (22 votes), narrowly edging out the 10-day schedule at 48.84% (21 votes).
Supporters of the Black and Gold Week argue its simplicity. Hansol Park ‘27 commented that it was “hard to remember which day is which” in the former system. On the contrary, his brother Hangyeol ‘27 objected that it’s hard to “know if it’s Gold Week or Black Week.”
