Over the spring break, 15 TCIS students (led by Mr. Larry, Ms. Hunter, and Mr. Flett) travelled to Boracay, Philippines for the 2026 LASA trip.

LASA, which stands for “Love all, serve all”, aims to support local communities and schools. Like in previous years, this trip focused on hands-on service including physical construction work and spending time with the local children.

Over the course of five days, the team helped pour concrete to extend a basketball court, cleaned classrooms, and built meaningful connections through games and activities. Despite language barriers and cultural differences the group formed strong bonds and created lasting memories.

LASA can be an eye-opening experience for many. By engaging directly with communities and contributing in tangible ways, students can gain a deeper understanding of their impact on others and a new perspective on gratitude, service, and global citizenship.
